One Lucky Dogg’s Tico Style Tour Extravaganza

You will take home wonderful photos and videos of a genuine fishing excursion with an authentic Tico family, sure to please the budget minded traveler. Day trip priced right. No need to rent a $2,000 boat to have a wonderful time. This is a day trip that is close to San Jose, therefore it is done in a day.

Here’s what you get! Your tour begins with an early departure from San Jose, 5 a.m. After a quick stop for an authentic Costa Rica breakfast, we travel to the quaint little fishing village of Tarcoles where we will find our Tico family waiting for us to board the boat. Early morning inshore fishing and you’ll catch a wide variety of of sports fish including dorado, sails, Spanish mackerel, sea bass, snook, rosterfish, grouper, snapper and other species of hard fighting fish. Take them home if you like or catch and release, it’s up to you.

Next you will motor over to Gino’s favorite secluded island where you will snorkel for lobster. Now it’s lunch time and Maria will cook your 'catch' for you, right on the beach, along with all the trimmings. It just doesn’t get any fresher than this. Relax on the beach or hike the rainforest and cool off under the waterfall. More fishing? You're the boss or just see the sites.
